WAUSAU, WI (WAOW/CNN) - A Wisconsin family is starting out the new year still dealing with the tragic loss of their 2-month-old baby boy.

He was found dead with blunt force injuries in October. Prosecutors say the babysitter is responsible.

The courtroom packed with family and friends of the baby that Marissa Teitsort is accused of killing.

Court documents say the mom dropped off the baby with Teitsort around 4 p.m. on Oct. 18, however, when the mom picked up the baby hours later, Teitsort knew the infant was dead when she handed him over to his mother.

She even admitted putting a hat over the baby's eyes so his mom wouldn't realize her baby was dead when she picked him up.

Teitsort is a mother of five herself and currently pregnant with her sixth.

Documents say before the baby’s mom picked him up, Teitsort placed the lifeless infant's body in his snowsuit and buckled him up in his car seat and drove to McDonald's with her son.

She is already in jail on separate charges that she physically abused an 8-month-old back in August.

Teitsort also requested her bond of $500,000 to be lowered, claiming she's not getting sufficient pre-natal care in jail.

She said in a letter to a judge that she's not a bad mother or a threat to society.

Both of her cases are expected to be in the review process later this month.
