CHARDON, OH (WOIO) -
The sentencing for Willoughby-Eastlake Schools Superintendent Stephen Thompson, took place today in Chardon Municipal Court.
Thompson was sentenced to a three-day driving intervention program, community service, and probation.
He was
arrested on May 17 for drunk driving, after causing a crash on Mayfield Road in Chester Township. Thompson pled guilty to OVI last month.
The school board has also ordered Thompson to speak to students about the dangers of drinking and driving, and to forfeit twenty days pay. If Thompson is arrested for drinking and driving
again, he could lose his job.
