BEAVERCREEK, OH (FOX19) -

A LaRosa's delivery driver in the Dayton, Ohio area has been reprimanded for flying a Confederate flag on the pickup truck he seemingly used to deliver pizzas.

A photo of the driver's vehicle was tweeted out Sunday, showing the truck's LaRosa's roof sign with the flag attached to the trailer hitch at LaRosa's Beavercreek restaurant.

"We sincerely apologize to anyone who saw this and was offended," LaRosa's said in a written statement on Twitter Monday. "We don't agree in any way with this display. This team member was appropriately reprimanded, and no one will see it again."

Davin Flateau was getting his tire changed when he saw the delivery driver.

"I had to do a double take," he said. "I couldn't believe a local restaurant would put its name behind a symbol of racial violence and slavery."

Flateau said he accepts LaRosa's apology and appreciated their swift response.

LaRosa's is a pizza chain headquartered in Cincinnati. Restaurants are located in Cincinnati, Dayton, central Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and parts of Indiana and Tennessee.
