(RNN) - Though the world might be more computer-literate now than ever before, people are apparently still strikingly bad at choosing online passwords.
Password management firm SplashData compiled more than 5 million passwords leaked in 2016 to find 25 of the worst; these are passwords that are used by the most people at one time.
The kingpin of terrible passwords "123456," took the top spot once again. It was followed closely by perennial contender "password," another genuinely awful choice.
A majority of the top ten bad passwords seem to join the kingpin's mafia, following some form of linear numbers, such as "1234567."
Some passwords will likely always find a place on this list, but SplashData suggests that if you're using one that you change it immediately.
